Ben has been developing interactive marketing solutions for clients since 1995. In 2004, he channeled his years of experience leading brand strategy to launch Link Positive, Inc., a collaborative brand and interactive marketing services firm. As president of the company, Ben leads the charge in offering market insight, strategic planning, design and implementation management services for a range of clients including 3M, HealthPartners, Immedia, Medtronic metroConnections and Snap Fitness.
An active member of several professional organizations, Ben also serves on the board of Usability Professionals Association of MN (UPA-MN), and he is former president of the Advertising Federation of Minnesota (Ad Fed). Ben has come a long way from his stint as a key grip on Cargill video production shoots in Brazil and Argentina. These days he stays in touch with his wild side by serving as Den Leader for Pack 198 Wolf Cub Scouts.
When he’s not enjoying Wii matches with his kids or walking the family Newfoundland, Grilla, Ben daydreams about serving as interactive director and fill-in guitarist for indie rock band OK GO.
He also works on his theories for the future of Interactive: Built-in human interfaces! In-ear earpieces! Microphone lip implants! Eyeglass-embedded computer screens!
While he eagerly awaits his own bionic upgrade, Ben offers the following advice for interactive marketers: “Get started. Iterate early and often. Define scope and scale. Design around the user.”
