Join us for our quarterly Coffee + Case Studies event featuring two case studies from area companies and agencies. Open to members only, this is an intimate event (limited to 40 attendees - sign up early!) where you will have the chance to ask presenters questions and pick their brains about exactly how and why they did what they did.

 

Case Study 1: Uniting Fragmented Business Groups with a Multi-Tenant CMS
Firm: The Nerdery

How does a corporation with many uniquely-branded sales and service centers align strategies to deliver a cohesive online experience? By deeply understanding how customers interact with them and why. The Nerdery worked with a corporate marketing team that wanted to bring cohesion to over 20 disparate websites to drive business efficiencies (by alleviating pressures on service centers to update corporate content and by creating content once and pushing to all markets), improve effectiveness (by understanding how well their efforts were impacting sales and helping customers) and empower individuals (by giving them the ability to control content and manage workflows without having to include a developer or vendor). The result was a 2x increase in qualified leads.

 

Case Study 2: Changing the Game on Cost Transparency for a Top Health Insurer
Firm: Mirum
Speakers: Jack Fahden, Anders Hopkin and Miranda Anderson

A top health insurer wanted to change the game on cost transparency for in-the-moment care needs (the kind that would typically send you to an urgent care, or whatever is closest to you). Consumers who know what their care options cost save money on out-of-pocket expenditures. Mirum helped develop a digital product that satisfies both business and consumer needs that has become a go-to for employer-sponsored plans, informing plan members where to go in a moment of need.

Antenna is in the Northwestern Building in the North Loop. Street parking is available right out front on 2nd street, or via surrounding streets. Once you've entered the building, take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and we are in suite 300, to the right of the elevator.

Casey Kaplan

Creative Director
The Nerdery

Casey has been at The Nerdery since 2011. He is an expert in user experience strategy and has a background in industrial product design and brand development. He is known for focusing on the end customer and aligning user-centered design solutions with business objectives. Casey was instrumental in building out The Nerdery’s User Experience team processes by driving collaboration with software developers to ensure design standards are met for specific platforms and technologies. He not only functions as The Nerdery’s Creative Director but also provides coaching and mentorship to other designers.

Lacey Kobriger

Senior User Experience Designer
The Nerdery

Lacey has been on The Nerdery’s user experience team since 2013. She is an expert in mobile product design and previously worked on web and software products for a wide range of industries. She has spent much of her time at The Nerdery helping businesses move into new markets in addition to expanding their digital products and offerings.

Jack Fahden

Jack was raised on the radio, adopted by television and is now married to the internet. His passion for communication and culture gives him the unique ability to craft powerful concepts and implement them across multiple platforms. Jack understands the complexity of today’s digital landscape, but he insists that simplicity is the key to unlocking solutions to difficult business problems. Jack’s client experience includes brands such as H&R Block, Krispy Kreme, UnitedHealthcare, Qualcomm, Scotty Cameron, American Family Insurance and Fulton Brewing.

Anders Hopkin

Front-End Development Lead

Anders leads the Mirum front-end development team with a passion for enabling enterprisecompanies achieve high-performing, scalable front end experiences supported by proven, modern technology. He’s inspired by opportunities to make new things – particularly when it includes using open source platforms like WordPress and Drupal. Anders has deep healthcare expertise, building pattern libraries for Optum, implementing the library for various Optum businesses, and helping startups like Healthspot. Beyond, healthcare, Anders has built large-scale digital campaigns for Polaris, crafted new product launch sites for Oskar Blues, and built an enterprise WordPress site for Amman International.

Miranda Anderson/

Miranda believes all communication strategies are intertwined around the common thread of human experience – with digital integrated at the core of our daily lives. At Mirum, Miranda serves as her clients’ advocate and strategic business partner while ensuring internal and external teams are driving toward a shared vision and goals. She manages the agency’s relationship with UnitedHealth Group. Miranda has planned and launched products and experiences, multi-channel campaigns, and pilot programs which helped her clients build and optimize new products (Johnson&Johnson) reduce energy use (Integrys), retail test preparation support (The Princeton Review), generate funds for a new hospital wing (Bellin Health) and build brands for new and emerging companies.

Cancellations
Cancellations received by the office at least two business days prior to the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received fewer than two business days prior to the event. No-shows will be billed for any unpaid registration fees.

If you have registered, are unable to attend, and would like to give your co-worker your "ticket," please note that this is a members only event and only a pre-registered member to non-registered member switch-out is available.
