What it is:
JWT Minneapolis is seeking a dynamic Account Supervisor who can add value and bring new insight & a partnership mentality to the account team. The Account Supervisor will be the primary point of contact for mid-level clients and will have a core responsibility to provide excellent service to assigned accounts, while simultaneously bringing forth strategic ideas that grow the clients’ business. The Account Supervisor will report to the Senior Account Director, and be supported by our Account Coordinator.
What you do:
- Build valuable, long-term client relationships based on effectively achieving client’s marketing objectives in a manner that results in profit to the agency.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of clients’ business and industry.
- Partner appropriately with Strategy, User Experience, and other internal teams to provide strategic direction on assigned accounts.
- Maintain rapport and credibility with client based on trust and expert counsel.
- Provide clients with ongoing, unsolicited, team-generated ideas on improving their business.
- Be alert for opportunities to grow your accounts.
- Efficiently and cost-effectively manage agency resources and personnel, with a minimum of stress.
- Plan effectively to avoid crisis situations, but if they develop, escalate them to the Senior Account Director immediately.
- Maintain a sense of positivity, teamwork and leadership among agency staff assigned to your accounts.
- Positively and professionally represent the agency at all industry and other functions.
- Ensure the utilization of appropriate agency departments by account team, as required.
- Maintain quality standards representative of the JWT brand.
- Act as the liaison between client, agency and all disciplines.
- Serve as a mentor to the Account Coordinator
- Keep team informed of changes in client/competitive climate.
- Participate in new business pitches.
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
What you need:
- At least four years’ agency industry experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in software, digital or advertising agency with strong understanding of web and emerging technologies
- Fantastic ability to build relationships
- Engaging personality
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong presentation skills (ability to “own” a room)
- Strategic curiosity and knowledge in interactive/digital space
- Excellent organization skills with an eye for the details
- College education and/or appropriate software/advertising/marketing education or experience
- Healthcare experience a plus
