Assistant Marketing Manager - Email and Mobile Marketing

Purpose
Manages the execution of corporate email and mobile marketing messaging and campaigns. Works cross functionally to determine targeting, build strategy, determine messaging and develop creative content. Analyzes program effectiveness and recommends changes as needed. Works with agency and other internal or external partners to ensure flawless execution of marketing program. Assistant Marketing Manager works with minimal supervision to complete work assignments.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Coordinates email/mobile marketing planning, execution and content with agency and third party vendors
• Works closely with direct marketing, research and analytics, loyalty, and brand and advertising to define and refine customer contact strategies
• Plan, develop, design, build email and mobile marketing messages and campaigns
• Manages all aspects of email campaign process including developing the content, pulling the appropriate lists, executing the send and tracking and optimizing results
• Work with agency to develop relevant and engaging customer content
• Ensure brand consistency in all marketing pieces
• Work with Direct Marketing and Data Integrity managers on the capture of customer digital addresses and preferences
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external agencies and vendors as needed to ensure efficiency and use of best practices
• Conduct analysis of results with recommended improvements to future campaigns
• Achieve campaign sales goals while developing best practices to maximize ROI
Job Requirements
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related area.
• 5-6 years interactive marketing experience
• Strong communication, time management, and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of email and mobile best practices, lifecycle messaging, acquisition and reporting
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects; including contingency planning when needed.
• Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail who can proactively identify business improvement areas.
• Ability to problem-solve using analytic frameworks to streamline the process.
• Must be able to successfully manage vendor partners.
• Ability to provide basic budget oversight for email and mobile programs.
• Analytical skills required, prefer experience using metrics to evaluate campaign or program performance.
• Strong grammatical and proofreading skills preferred.
Physical Environment
• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
