Assistant Online Platform Manager (952) 828-4438  

Purpose
The Online Platform Assistant Manager at SUPERVALU is responsible for the tactical implementation and integration of the enterprise’s Web Platform(s) and related properties.  Drives effective integration of online and in-store experiences to drive sales through partnerships with IT, agencies, vendors, and business stakeholders.  The Online Platform Assistant Manager is a change agent who identifies development opportunities, seeks best solutions, and drives implementation with a passion for action.
 
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Strategic Planning:  Actively monitors technology innovations to identify appropriate solutions to enable SUPERVALU’s Online Platform strategy.
Technology Change Management:  Assists project stakeholders to deliver innovation timely, cost-effectively, and accurately.  Raises concerns for scope challenges and makes recommendations for alternative solutions.  Works as an effective translator between IT and marketing teams and works with these teams to dive into the details and understands the root causes of issues.
Data Integrity:  Develops systems, processes, and strategies to utilize online properties to grow and enhance the quality of customer data.
• Monitors multiple systems to assure data is passing accurately
• Deploys strategies to engage customers and encourage account sign-ups
Site traffic tracking and analytics:  Responsible for implementing effective tracking mechanisms, monitoring, and reporting key traffic metrics.  Makes recommendations for optimizing marketing programs and content based on engagement of respondents on website destination.
• Monitors tracking mechanisms to assure they are operating as intended
• Reports traffic trends timely and proactively identifies anomalies that may indicate broken processes.

Job Requirements
 
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree required.  A degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
• Three years experience in the Interactive Marketing field, particularly eMail marketing, online affiliate marketing, and social media.
• Strong experience in website development, online marketing/advertising, eCommerce and eMail programming and analysis.
• Traditional marketing / advertising, retail operations, Customer Relationship Management and/or direct marketing experience a plus. Brand management experience at major CPG Company is preferred.
• Retail experience preferred
• Analytic and strong technology aptitude conversant in Web platforms, applications, and database / warehouses
• Strong project development skills with the ability to execute and see plans through to completion.
• Exceptional PowerPoint skills – able to synthesize complex data into simple and compelling reports
• The incumbent must be very action oriented innovator
• Must possess strong organizational, forecasting and analytical skills.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization, in the business community, and with vendors.
• Must possess negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Possess supervisory skills and the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired goals.
 
Physical Environment
• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
• Some travel may be required
