The Lacek Group, a specialty agency of Ogilvy and Mather, is a data-driven interactive and direct marketing agency that designs and optimizes loyalty marketing programs for leading companies. We are seeking an Associate Copywriter to join our team. Associate Copywriters collaborate directly with writers and designers in executing and ideating concepts. This position is responsible for aligning creative concepts with strategy, technical specifications, production planning, execution and quality assurance, and is responsible for the overall aesthetic of the work. You will take strategic direction from the Associate Creative Directors, Client Services Managers and Creative Director, and help make their vision a reality.

Responsibilities include teaming with departmental peers and designers to ensure that the cross-creative collaboration process evolves into well developed concepts that meet client objectives. Working with non-departmental peers, the Associate Copywriter collaborates on a strategic and conceptual level to grow the business across all accounts. You will write expert and empathetic copy that supports a variety of US and Global business units. You will create concepts that are extendable into campaigns and effective in print and online, and be able to present these concepts in a way that shows a thorough understanding of the strategy, while developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of our clients’ brand identity and implementing it into all creative jobs. You'll also drive continuous process improvements to discover efficiencies and make recommendations to improve standards.

Education/Work Experience/Skills

•     Bachelor degree required, preferable with English/Journalism focus
•     1+ yrs of copywriting experience, advertising experience and interactive marketing experience preferred
•     Working understanding of marketing and media
•     Interactive experience and interest, with a good understanding of social media
•     Ability to work comfortably on a Mac
•     Motivated, highly organized and flexible during peak workload
•     Ability to partner with team members and implement feedback
•     Ability to concept and present a must
•     Must be open-minded, a positive thinker and enthusiastic
•     Excellent time-management and communication skills
•     Great sense of humor; willingness to work hard
