Copywriter - Life Time Fitness Life Time Fitness  

Job Title:          Copywriter

Department:     Creative

Reports to:       Creative Director

 

 

Position Summary

 

Works under general supervision to write, proofread and edit copy in a highly collaborative environment working with account executives, art directors, designers, and production managers. Executes copywriting tasks from initial concept to final release.  Upholds fulfillment of Life Time Fitness’ Mission Statement.

 

 

Examples of Work Performed

 

  1. Writes and evaluates copy, recommends changes and approves as final, maintains job folders and documentation.
  2. Sets direction for client meetings and secures critical information.
  3. Takes a concept or theme and develops copy that will achieve business goals.
  4. Secures clear understanding of the objective and demographics of the campaign to ensure copy is targeted to appropriate audience.
  5. Collaborates with art director to produce the most compelling combination of images, design and language.
  6. Collaborates with account teams to develop appropriate strategies.
  7. Collaborates with senior management to facilitate and direct the development of new creative strategies and goals, delivering measurable long/short term results.
  8. Develops techniques to reach new Customers and enables company to maintain the competitive edge.
  9. Sells concepts, strategies and direction to senior management.
  10. Conceives the approach and style for projects and adjust the creative to optimize results.
    Evaluates outside creative resources for possible use.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications   

 

·         Education:

Four-year degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field

 

·         Experience:

Three to five years of professional writing experience

 

·         Licenses / Certifications / Registration:

None required

  8. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend solutions
  9. Strong knowledge of general advertising practices
  10. Must have ability to creatively execute all types of campaigns
