Position: Creative Tech

Department: Creative                            

Accountable to: Interactive Creative Director

 

Job summary

The Creative Tech will be responsible for the production of digital files as requested for communication materials –– such as print ads, collateral, direct mail, sales tools, trade shows and interactive. Under the direction of a Designer/art director, create fast turn around, high-quality creative solutions and partner with the Production staff for support and final production of materials.

 

Essential job functions:

   Partner with the Creative and Production departments to produce accurate digital files for print and interactive communication materials.

   Partner with Art Directors/Designers to roll out creative concepts, including multi-component campaign materials, typographic treatments and interactive design.

   Re-purposing existing materials and assets to create new communication pieces, for both print and interactive.

   Adhere to style and brand guidelines throughout the design and production of work.

   Track and manage revisions and provide a high level of QA in work.

   Prepare and preflight files for pre-press and printing.

   Review and approve proofs for accuracy.

   Partner with Project Managers and Production Managers on all aspects of projects, assessing workload, due
dates and final deliverables.

   Work closely with all brand team creative staff to create consistency within all integrated creative products.

   Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve critical day-to-day software and hardware issues.

   Ability to work within agency processes and procedures.

   Ongoing management and organization of project work within server structure and in archiving of work.

   Scan and organize libraries of images, as needed.

   Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry changes, trends and developments.

Perform other essential duties as assigned from time to time to meet the changing needs of the Digital Production

Department.

 

Preferred Technical skills and requirements

   B.A. degree or equivalent.

   Minimum of 1+ years experience.

   Working knowledge of the creative process, strategic, creative development and interactive production.

   Excellent time management skills.

   Highly organized and able to work effectively on multiple projects.

   Expert Mac OSX-based knowledge of CS5: Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Professional.

   Mid-to-expert Mac OSX-based knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator CS5.

   Knowledge of pre-press, offset and digital printing technologies and best practices.

   Ag or pharmaceutical experience, a plus.

   Graphic design and web design experience a plus.
