+ The Position

• FLM seeks to provide both three and six month digital communications internships to individuals who are pursuing degree(s) in web design, digital media design, visual arts or related fields.  Successful candidates will have completed their sophomore year in pursuit of a B.S. or B.A. at a four-year college/university or be completing an associate's degree in a related field at an accredited two-year institution.  Candidates should have a strong understanding of and experience with the website and mobile development process, social media management and online advertising, including experience with website architecture, design, usability and optimzation techniques. Additional requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to write code to build and execute digital initiatives using scripting languages such as .Net, JavaScript/JSON, X/HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, JAZA and RoR
• Ability to work with open source CMS platforms such as Word Press, Drupal and LifeRay
• Ability to write custom code to set up and make calls from various database environments such as MySQL, AJAX, JQUERY and ORACLE
• Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines and courseware development applications such as Articulate a plus
• Individuals with strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, combined with a passion for staying on top of trends in interactive technology should apply.  An interest in the agricultural sciences, the biological sciences and related fields is a strong plus.
• The FLM internship program will provide a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced client-driven marketing and communications agency environment. Interns will work directly on account teams providing digital production support.  Interns will have the opporuntiy to design and implement an agency promotion project.
• FLM internships are available year-round in Minneaplis, MN.

+ What You Will Do

To ensure an FLM internship provides a valuable experience, interns will be assigned a mentor or 'buddy' at the beginning to gain an understanding of our standards of performance, culture, and gain exposure to a variety of assignments that will provide the best possible leanring experience including:

• Be a part of FLM's creative/digital team, supporting interactive initiatives through the implementation of business requirements
• Assist in building out technical requirements and recommendations for digital initiatives
• Build web sites and applications for web, tablet and mobile based on business requirements
• Implement integration features to third-party sites and services (e.g., Social Media APIs, Chat Services, etc.)
• Set up and monitor website and social media goals and optimize analytics tools; generate analytics reports
• Support the development of e-learning modules
• Research and share summaries about new application and development programs for web, tablets and Mobile devices
• Attend creative production planning meetings
• Update FLM web sites and social media pages
• Support the development of business development documentation
