Fast Horse is looking for an experienced digital designer to join our growing creative team. Wont you help us spread the word? The Digital Design Manager will provide leadership in establishing Fast Horse as a design innovator and highly effective visual storyteller. Were looking for someone with a minimum of four years experience. The Digital Design Manager will be asked to collaborate with design staff and account teams and to ensure that design is a strong and effective part of our integrated work on behalf of clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Marvin Windows and Doors, American Red Cross and Odwalla. Our Digital Design Manager will: Determine the objectives and priorities of a project from a strategic standpoint and conceptualize interactive design solutions that meet those parameters Provide expertise in all aspects of design; use the principles of design, brand knowledge and design tools to create exceptional interactive designs that are in alignment with the brand and the concept and meet the objectives of the project Determine and communicate the key points, style, form and content of projects to creative department members while directing the projects, providing feedback as needed Communicate design trends to the organization Ensure that a high standard of quality and service is maintained Establish and manage preferred vendor and design contractor lists Coach, supervise, motivate and manage performance of entry level design/creative staff Partner with account teams to ensure client satisfaction, communicating with clients when necessary Research and develop ways to meet clients needs at the organizational level Requisite Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities for Digital Design Manager: Desired attributes: Highly creative, self-motivated and reliable A team player who can work in a fast-paced, demanding, yet rewarding environment Adaptability, resourcefulness and a positive attitude Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required Strategically orientedrelate the design work to clients overall business plans and goals Able to explore and define all aspects of a problem Appreciate design both inside and outside of natural interests Able to combine creative knowledge with business realities Open to new ideas and influences Able to meet deadlines Knowledge: Strong proficiency in designing for a variety of interactive applications: websites, email marketing, digital presentations and documents, social media profiles, mobile applications, and more Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) Technical knowledge required to handle a variety of image editing and processing tasks as well as the artistic skills required to create beautiful images and illustrations Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint (particularly creating and editing presentation templates) Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills Required Brand principles and strategy Estimating process Value of design Graphic standards Extensive computer knowledge Design trends, process and theory Visualizing techniques Production techniques Big Bonus Points: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Actionscript, AJAX and similar languages Education/Experience: Four-year degree in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or Communication Arts Minimum four years experience in the graphic design field Must have extensive interactive design experience Advertising, design, PR or interactive agency experience required Please send your resume and a link to your portfolio to info@fasthorseinc.com.
