Accountable to:              Social Media Director

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to help manage the essential day-to-day activities of social and digital campaigns and the corresponding performance metrics. This person will also have the opportunity to manage and provide reporting for social and digital programs, including activity on social platforms, online banners, paid search, website and mobile activity and email. They will work closely with the engagement and account management team to deliver client-friendly engagement dashboards that clearly communicate the performance of marketing activities and optimization recommendations.

 

Additionally, this role will be help to research and analyze competitive trends, technologies, services, and the audiences that we communicate with. Our research employs a mix of qualitative methods (such as conversation trends, studies, and behavioral research), and quantitative methods (such as advanced social monitoring and statistical models). The ideal candidate will be excited about manipulating and applying these types of research and will possess communications skills necessary to translate these findings to people who are less technologically inclined.

 

The successful candidate will have an interest in the behaviors that influence online interaction, and have a deep-seated desire to be on the bleeding edge of technology and communications. Due to the high degree of organization necessary to fulfill the duties of the job, experience in a fast-paced work environment and an independent, inquisitive attitude are necessary qualities.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Work closely with Social Strategists to monitor social media chatter, and draw insights from this research
  • Manage the collection and consolidation of marketing data from several different sources including Google Analytics, Google Adwords, DART/Doubleclick, Webtrends and Alterian SM2
  • Develop client-friendly engagement dashboards that display marketing activity from the above sources
  • Manage both paid and organic search programs for clients

·       Assist in targeting strategy for emails, and generate email lists

  • Establish appropriate quality control checks to ensure quality reporting output

·       Be an integral part in developing new processes and formats for delivering information to clients

·       Perform other duties as assigned from time to time to meet the changing needs of Martin|Williams

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related major required

  • 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Considerable Microsoft Excel experience and skills
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google AdWords, DART/Doubleclick, and social monitoring software is a plus

 

Competencies Required

  • Familiar with digital and social media marketing trends, and affinity to the latest and greatest 

·       Strong focus on details and accuracy

·       Strong PC skills, specifically Excel

·       Strong project coordination skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skills

·       Knowledge of and appreciation of the creative process

  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable to change, and to work well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with multiple teams
  • This individual must be able to work under limited supervision
