The Digital Planner/Buyer will be responsible for working with clients, agencies, sites/publishers and internal departments to plan and buy digital media with a strong emphasis on local and national trusted sites. The ability to ingest research and data, boil it down to relevant insights, plan the media and then clearly and succinctly communicate the plan to individuals internally and externally.  Utilize experience and expertise to oversee the execution of campaigns from beginning to end.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
·         Monitor day-to-day campaign performance through regular delivery of reporting with the help of Digital Analyst
·         Assist with development of media strategy and recommendations
·         Sustain campaign insertion orders with publishers with help of Assistant Planner
·         Maintain invoices by ensuring receipt and prompt payment through approval process with help of Digital Assistant
·         Prepare flowcharts, run reach/frequencies and balance budgets for media plan using Excel, Powerpoint and planning specific software (i.e. ComScore, Nielsen etc.)
·         Issue campaign specs to creative agency
·         Utlize research and reports to write media POVs and recommendations considering audience information, product usage information, etc. to determine whether appropriate choice for use
·         Meet with sales reps to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles/tactics for client media plan
·         Manage daily duties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all documents
·         Manage key client contacts in coordination with Director
·         Identify opportunities to assist in developing processes to streamline execution of digital media product
·         Contribute to New Business pitches or efforts when appropriate
·         Participates in company initiatives throughout the year
 
 
Requirements:
§ 2-3 years digital industry work experience (background in digital planning/buying)
§ Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing or Advertising)
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
§ Strong quantitative and analytical skills
§ Excellent verbal and written/presentation communications skills
§ Strong organizational and planning skills
§ Keep abreast of new media opportunities and developments and share information with the team/agency
§ Understand basic media terminology and CPM, CPC, CPA and CPL buying models
§ Knowledge of SEM and working knowledge of Google and MSN search management platforms
§ Working knowledge of 3rd party software, specifically DART, ComScore and Nielsen software
§ Working knowledge of Rich Media Vendors: Doubleclick, Pointroll, Eyeblaster etc.
§ Basic knowledge of Double Click DFA and or Atlas
§ Understand of all aspects of online advertising/marketing specific to sales, operations, ad serving and billing
§ Self-motivated, success driven individual with a proven track record
§ Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
§ Ability to multi-task and meet conflicting priorities as well as successfully manage day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment
§ Works well in team environment
