Inver Hills Community College seeks a Director of Marketing to position the college in Minnesota’s higher education market through creative, innovative marketing and public relations strategies.

Salary: $48,734-70,574 depending on education and related experience.
Appointment: Unlimited Full-Time.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of five marketing staff, including a web development specialist, webmaster, writer, graphic designer, and administrative support staff.
• Through collaboration with Student and Academic Affairs and the Foundation, create and deliver a strategic marketing plan, using emerging and traditional marketing strategies and social media.
• Determine marketing messages and positioning.
• Select and contract with vendors.
• Manage the college’s website; implement a new web content management system (OU Campus).
• Identify new opportunities for college marketing, niche and image building through research.
• Conduct performance studies to assess efficacy of marketing initiatives and guide future efforts.
• Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget.
• Lead marketing team to conceptualize and produce marketing materials and promotional messages.
• Manage and maximize media opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, and two years of progressively responsible marketing experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Proven track record of creativity, innovation and achievement of measurable results in marketing, and ability to inspire organizational buy-in.
• Experience developing and managing marketing campaigns.
• In-depth knowledge of webpage and emerging technologies for marketing.
• Experience supervising employees or managing projects and relationships.
• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships across an organization.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Marketing experience in education, or a non-profit or government agency.
• Experience managing media inquiries.
