We are seeking a creative and professional Email Marketing Designer with advanced skills in concept, design, layout, and execution of email campaigns.
The ideal candidate has previous experience creating HTML email campaign templates, strong communication skills, and examples of their previous work. An e-commerce background is preferred.
Support in the production of all online interactive components—including, but not limited to, HTML emails and Landing Pages. Collaborates with Graphic Designers and Marketing to ensure proper execution of creative concepts while incorporating the MagnetStreet brand and design principles. This will integrate UI and our marketing strategy to be visually effective and lead to conversion.
Working alongside a talented team of designers in the Blaine, MN office, this position reports to the Marketing Communications Manager.
Job Responsibilities
•Create email and web layouts including content formatting, CSS creation, HTML files, JavaScript, custom design graphics, usability (UI), as well as meeting project guidelines and timelines.
•Collaborate with Marketing and IT to develop, improve, and execute media and web projects that blend features and functionality.
•Apply background in online marketing with an understanding of campaign performance tracking, a/b testing methodologies, email best practices, and data driven marketing tactics.
•Understand and incorporate user experience knowledge by translating customer requirements into impactful user interface.
•Work as part of a collaborative team to provide high-quality deliverables that drive conversion.
•Demonstration of good design principles and attention to detail to ensure consistent branding.
Experience
Web Design, Digital Media Design, or Visual Arts course completion required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required:
•Email system experience
•1-3 years of web design and development
•Adobe Creative Suite, version 5 preferred
•JavaScript (including YUI and Prototype frameworks)
•HTML
•CSS
Preferred:
•Flash knowledge
•ExactTarget experience
•Ability to write clean code
•Ability to troubleshoot HTML and CSS
•Back-end development experience
•User experience (web & email) knowledge
Skills
•Stays on top of web design trends & technologies
•High degree of creativity with the ability to take art direction and constructive criticism
•Ability to work independently
•Ability to work with outside vendors
•Able to handle multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
