Purpose Statement

To support the vision and goals of Hearth & Home Technologies (an HNI company) by developing and supporting creative for key marketing programs needed to promote our product lines and other corporate marketing functions as required.  This includes sales, marketing, customer support and public relations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 


Responsibilities

- Graphic design and layout of marketing support materials – includes print literature, web-site creative, promotions (print and interactive), advertising, social media, e-marketing, and point-of-sale materials.

- Maintain consistent POV (point of view) and POD (point of difference) within each brand through collaboration with marketing team.

- Ensure the consistent implementation of brand graphic standards.

- Assist with all print and promotional production updates

- Manage stock photography search and purchase.

- Maintain computer files/artworks for archival purposes.

- Assist with all updates to company brand websites.

- Handle designated projects from start to completion on-time and within budget.

- Work with key vendors (freelancers, agencies and printers) to provide accurate information and files. 


Required Skills

- The ability to demonstrate creative thinking quickly and execute creative strategies visually.

- Strong understanding of aesthetic principles and good design for both print and interactive media.

- Understanding of print production process: file requirements, optimization of images, paper selection and press check experience.

- Experience in web design, interactive banner ad design, web video, social media preferred. 

- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels in the organization.

- The ability to work on numerous projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Flash design software 

- Knowledge and skills in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Desired skills:

- Experience with DreamWeaver or HTML

- Web database management experience


Qualifications – Education & Experience

- 2-year or 4-year post-secondary degree in graphic and interactive design, and 2-4 years of solid graphic production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
