Interactive Ad Designer Cordillera Interactive

Cordillera Interactive (http://www.cordillera.tv/cordillera-interactive) seeks a fast-paced Interactive Ad Designer (IAD) in our downtown Saint Paul offices. The IAD will design primarily web display (banner ad) and email-based creative media assets for local advertising clients in Cordillera markets. The IAD also will conceptualize and produce user experience designs for our web and mobile sites.

Candidates should have demonstrated talents for designing rich, visual user interface solutions for web display (IAB standard and other formats) advertising, mainstream websites, mobile sites and apps.

Specific Responsibilities: The IAD should be capable of success in the following position responsibilities:

-- Build compelling, clean visuals and functional interface designs for web display advertising, rich media advertising, email advertising and mobile advertising.

-- Adhere to CI design and interface standards, as well as IAB interactive ad production guidelines and formats.

-- Complete design work efficiently, frequently on tight deadlines, with sufficient quality to minimize rework.

-- Occasional ad insertion order fulfillment using interactive ad operations system (OpenX Enterprise).

-- On assigned projects, coordinate creative production and quality assurance with CI ad operations staff at corporate and in local markets.

-- Participate in brainstorming and development of overall user experience strategy with a variety of stakeholders that may include CI corporate executives, television station executives, and interactive specialists in sales, content and operations.

-- Routine communications with all relevant stakeholders to ensure successful creative production and optimal site user experience.

-- Develop ongoing knowledge base of new technologies, products, services, standards and user experiences.

Position Requirements: The IAD should have the following, or comparable, skills, abilities and experience:

-- Associate's degree or comparable experience in interactive media, graphic or industrial design disciplines; bachelor's degree preferred.

-- 2-plus years’ experience in interactive production design, especially web display advertising.

-- Strong proficiency with common design tools (such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, 3-D modeling, etc.), and user interface methods (HTML, CSS, templating systems and database interactions).

-- Strong design sensibilities and attention to detail.

-- Working knowledge of large-scale interactive display ad management platforms, such as DoubleClick, RealMedia or OpenX.

-- Working knowledge of rich media ad formats, vendor products, and agency reporting/analytics tools.

-- Excellent organization and project management skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to keep on task and on budget. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

-- Passion for product innovation, compelling user experience, and exponential revenue growth in interactive media.

-- Excellent verbal, written and visual communications skills, and interpersonal communications abilities. Ability to adapt and succeed as part of a fast-growing, fast-changing team.

-- Strong working knowledge of prevailing interactive technologies, including: Web servers, content management systems, databases, development languages and frameworks, search optimization and search marketing, mobile platforms, Web metrics and analytics.

-- Relevant working knowledge of personal computer software, including Microsoft Office and reporting/analytics tools.
