Cordillera Interactive (http://www.cordillera.tv/cordillera-interactive) seeks an Ad Operations Specialist (AOS) in our downtown Saint Paul offices. The AOS will work closely with CI operations teams and interactive directors in our local television stations, as well as corporate and outsourced ad creative services, to fulfill, support and manage interactive display advertising campaigns.
The position requires routine use of a help desk ticketing system to review ad insertion orders; an interactive display ad serving system; inventory forecasting; managing and tracking campaign delivery; investigating discrepancies; campaign optimization; and reporting/analytics.
Specific Responsibilities: The AOS should be capable of success in the following position responsibilities:
-- Operate and oversee all aspects of our web display ad management system, OpenX Enterprise, including training, setup, changes and communications with vendors.
-- Review ad insertion orders in the help desk ticketing system for accuracy, required information and materials.
-- Dispatch orders to operations team members for insertion into ad management system, or fulfill orders directly as needed.
-- Work with local and corporate teams to ensure inventory forecasts are provided, accurate, and used successfully to manage the display business.
-- Work with ad creative services, inside and outside the company, to ensure high-quality ad media that meet or exceed our media acceptance guidelines.
-- Test ad creative media to ensure compliance with individual site specifications. Provide quality assurance on ad types such as GIF/JPEG, Flash, third-party served, rich media, PointRoll, etc.
-- Optimize campaigns in the ad management platform, based on interim campaign reports, projections and traffic trends, to ensure correct delivery.
-- Communications with sales representatives, operations support teams, third-party vendors or agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure campaign fulfillment.
-- Provide reports and analysis to sales teams as needed, and offer suggestions for campaign optimization.
-- Develop awareness and forward thinking in the evolution of CI interactive services by increasing knowledge of new technologies, products, IAB standards, advertiser demands and client experiences.
Position Requirements: The AOS should have the following, or comparable, skills, abilities and experience:
-- Associate’s degree or comparable experience in marketing, business or media disciplines; bachelor's degree preferred.
-- Two years’ experience in interactive ad operations preferred.
-- Working knowledge of large-scale interactive display ad management platforms, such as DoubleClick, RealMedia or OpenX. Recent, direct experience with OpenX Enterprise is a plus.
-- Working knowledge of rich media ad formats, vendor products, and agency reporting/analytics tools.
-- Excellent organization and project management skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to keep all stakeholders on task and on budget. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
-- Passion for product innovation, compelling user experience, and exponential revenue growth in interactive media.
-- Excellent verbal, written and visual communications skills, and interpersonal communications abilities. Ability to adapt and succeed as part of a fast-growing, fast-changing team.
-- Relevant working knowledge of prevailing interactive tools and technologies, including: HTML, CSS, Flash, Web servers, content management systems, databases, development languages and frameworks, search optimization and search marketing, mobile platforms, Web metrics and analytics.
-- Relevant working knowledge of personal computer software, including Microsoft Office and reporting/analytics tools.
-- Willingness to travel occasionally for business, no more than 10 percent.
