We are looking for an accountable and experienced Interactive Developer who is an open-minded problem solver with excellent attention to detail, a willingness to learn and a drive to create the best interactive experiences.

As a DreamWorld Studios Interactive Web Developer you will build and test interactive projects from mobile to web to things that aren't so easily categorized. You will take part in creating engaging experiences by leveraging the power of highly interactive technologies, APIs and platforms. You will work collaboratively with the Project Manager, Creative Director and other team members to deliver results.

Your role will involve delivering technical solutions that combine compelling interactive experiences with modern technology and strategic purpose. You should embrace emerging digital media with a passion to understand and integrate new technologies.

General Requirements:
• 4+ years of interactive web development experience (agency experience a plus)
• Expert-level understanding of modern web development principles, tools, technologies, and best practices
• Experience in establishing web application architecture and database design
• Thorough understanding of server side/client side interaction
• Demonstrated ability to program complex and dynamic web sites and interactive solutions
• Proficiency with web, mobile, and social technologies
• Must have solid understanding of the creative development process
• Proven time management skills; must be able to work independently and with a team, and handle multiple ongoing tasks with rapidly changing and deadline-driven priorities
• Passion for continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Portfolio/online samples required

Responsibilities:
• Translating visual designs into scalable web or mobile platforms while adhering to project specifications.
• Think creatively and critically about every assignment
• Must be extremely detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture
• Understand the project goals, client needs, and studio agenda
• Bring a collaborative mindset and serious work ethic
• Attention to detail and quality assurance procedures
• Partner with strategists, creative directors, production artists and technology team members to ensure the work we deliver is of the highest quality.
• Maintaining clear communication with project managers and other team members to ensure that project timelines remain on schedule.
• Accurately estimating the effort and resources required for your project deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members to develop high quality technical solutions that deliver on the long term-strategy for how a solution should connect with people.
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and working closely with a QA specialists to resolve bugs where required.
• Provide advanced knowledge and understanding of prevalent social media platforms and technologies.
• Adapting quickly to the ever changing world of technologies with emphasis on social platforms APIs such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, MySpace, Bing Maps, Google Maps, etc.

Competencies:
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript utilizing development framework such as Moo Tools or Jquery
• Experience with the following: PHP, XHTML, AJAX, JSON, DOM Scripting, unobtrusive JavaScript, XML/XSLT, W3C DOM methods and properties
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented concepts and design
• Familiarity with Flash ActionScript 3 (Preferably using development environment using Flash Builder 4 or Flash Develop, and Actionscript libraries such as Greensock)
• Familiarity with Adobe technologies such as Catalyst, Edge, Muse, Air, Flash or Flex a plus
• Experience and understanding of SQL Database design and administration (MS SQL/ MySQL)
• Familiarity with .NET technologies such as C#, WCF, WPF, ADO.Net, Windows Services and XML is a plus
• Popular APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Google services, etc.)
• Experience with mobile, tablet, and desktop application development and RIA a plus (iOS, Android, etc)
• Strong debugging skills and knowledge of tools such as FireBug
• In-depth understanding of cross-browser, and front-end development issues
• Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop and other web development related Adobe CS applications
• Experience working with content management systems (DNN, Wordpress, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with web server configuration and administration a plus

Compensation for this position is salary and is based upon capabilities/experience. Our compensation includes a very competitive benefit package as well. This is a full time position.
