 Position Summary:

Reporting to the Web Marketing Manager of Customer Marketing (CM), this position is responsible for working with teams to plan and execute all Ecommerce campaigns targeted at existing customers.  This person will also assist with the design of marketing programs including:  Promotion Test Strategy and Analysis, Profitability Analysis, Sales and Circulation Forecasting, Ad Hoc Analyses, Selection of Names to be Emailed and Promotion Documentation.  Analyst will work to optimize profitability focusing primarily on ecommerce programs. Additionally, this individual will work closely with the CM team to develop the analytical skills required to understand complex business issues resulting in the ability to develop marketing strategies that are both executable and aligned with corporate objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Ecommerce Promotion – Work to plan, design, execute and ensure accurate and timely delivery of profitable site and email promotions.

  1. Work with teams to plan the interactive promotional calendar
  2. Work with internal creative department to produce promotions in line with our proven direct marketing strategies.
  3. Utilize creative briefs to provide direction for creative concepting

 

Post analysis (Excel Based) - - Understand and perform analysis of promotions after emailing/site exposure.

  1. Run/write queries to read sales performance segmented by customer attributes.
  2. Read and analyze all Profit and Loss parameters, developing an overall profitability evaluation for the promotion.
  3. Read and analyze promotional test strategies.

 

Forecast Customer Behavior (Excel Based) - - Understand, enhance and execute current forecast procedure, producing timely and accurate sales and circulation forecasts.

  1. Maintain forecast files.
  2. Adjust and produce year over year forecast.
  3. Tie program level with company level forecast.
  4. Communicate results to appropriate departments.

 

Select the names that will be emailed (Excel Based) - - Understand, enhance the profitability and accurately execute names to be emailed (select) procedure and strategy.

  1. Prepare internal and external documents.
  2. Supply select criteria to internal select department.
  3. Verify select for accuracy.
  4. Insure timely delivery of names.

 Required Skills

Required skills and experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other business related field.
  2. Superior analytical ability crucial. Strong Excel knowledge highly desired. SQL and/or SAS knowledge a plus.
  3. Strong positive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  4. Ability to learn quickly.
  5. Ability to work in a team environment.
  6. Ability to multi-task crucial.
  7. Energetic and self-directed.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Direct marketing experience a plus but not necessary.
  10. Ecommerce marketing experience a plus but not necessary.
