Luggage Pros is so much more than luggage.   We are a leader in developing large scale eCommerce websites, innovative travel products, and charitable programs that help people in need.  Currently we are seeking a motivated PHP/MYSQL Web Developer to join our team. The ideal developer will be heavily involved in the full project lifecycle, interacting with multiple departments including Marketing, Operations, and IT members.  This is a high impact position in a fast-paced, constantly changing technical environment.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
•    Responsible for additions to and enhancements of our eCommerce websites
•    Administration of our eCommerce websites (including the health and up-time of our web server, monitoring backups, and having failovers ready)
•    Cross-browser website design, testing and debugging
•    Troubleshoot issues with web server, database, security, network, and web technologies
•    Creating and maintaining APIs to 3rd party vendors and internal systems
•    Working closely with our Marketing department to enhance our eCommerce experience
•    Creation, testing and deployment of new websites & web applications

 Requirements:
•    A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a web developer
•    Object-oriented PHP scripting ability & MySQL replication
•    Experience building and deploying high quality and highly reliable eCommerce websites & web applications
•    Experience in *nix Environment (specifically CentOS)
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    CSS / HTML proficiency
•    Web administration experinece, specifically relating to uptime, backups & failovers
•    Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills
•    Apache HTTPD, JavaScript and AJAX expertise
•    SOAP and RESTful web API familiarity

 Preferred knowledge includes:
•    Content Management Systems (Specifically Magento)
•    Familiarity with SVN version control
•    Familiarity with Adobe Flex
•    Cisco networking familiarity (firewall/router setup) for our own internal network
•    Building and installing from source in Linux
•    PHP frameworks: Zend, PEAR
•    JavaScript libraries: Prototype, jQuery, script.aculo.us
•    Amazon EC2 experience
•    eAccelerator and memcached PHP optimizations
