Online Content Specialist

6 Month Contract to Hire


Our client seeks a highly a motivated individual with experience in online content management, with a dash of experience and passion for micro-blogging and community participation leadership. This position will manage all online content related to the company's career websites, diversity site, and employee referral site. This position will write, edit and proofread new content while ensuring that all documents and media meet established content standards. The Online Content Manager will facilitate publishing content to web sites and work with vendor partners to assess and resolve any technical challenges in displaying the content.  The Online Content Manager must have a strong technical background in addition to the creativity required to develop responsive, interesting original content.

The successful candidate will join our internal marketing team, and interact with both internal partners, external candidates, and external agencies. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Has a bachelor’s or associates degree in related area.
  • Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability to crank editorial and technical writing output without brooding.
  • Has work experience or training in advertising, PR, online marketing or similar field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics
  • Proficient with Content Management Systems, Sitecore experience preferred
  • Some experience with Adobe Creative suite
  • Some experience leveraging email marketing tools
  • Some HTML knowledge
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Understands social media universe including YouTube, Foursquare, Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Blogs, and more
  • Understands the interactive universe and how to combine/leverage a wide suite of solutions to meet customer needs, build/engage the talent community and meet corporate objectives.  Online solutions include social media, website optimization, email, SMS, videos, podcasting, virtual events, online chat, and more
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization-think including basic keyword research.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
  • Is eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
  • Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast paced environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact with our customers to align with of their needs, with our corporate objectives, with the needs of our candidates
  • Be the eyes and ears of our brand as if your own reputation depended on it
  • Schedule and organize content for multiple departments on a daily basis
  • Develop, Execute ,and Analyze comprehensive social and interactive solutions to meet customer needs, build/engage talent communities, and meet corporate objectives
  • Conduct keyword research including cataloging and indexing target keyword phrases
  • Participate in social media on our behalf
  • Create and update daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising online presence.
