This full time position will serve a leadership role in the Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s Professional Post-Baccalaureate Programs. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with an interactive, web, and/or graphic design background to help grow and develop these programs.
The Program Coordinator, Post-Baccalaureate Certificates in Interactive Design and Marketing (75%) and Graphic Design (25%) is a member of the College staff with teaching responsibilities, contributes to the overall educational program in Continuing Education, and is directly responsible for the functionality, stability, daily management, improvement and success of the Post-Baccalaureate programs.
The primary responsibilities of the Program Coordinator are:
Teaching in the Online Interactive Design and Marketing program and advising students in both programs.
Assessing, developing, and enhancing the curriculum of the Interactive Design and Marketing and Graphic Design programs.
Staying on top of new and emerging trends in both fields and recommending ways to incorporate new developments into curriculum.
Promoting and marketing the Interactive Design and Marketing program through social media, professional contacts, attendance at conferences and events, and involvement with professional organizations.
Recruit, hire, train, and provide feedback on faculty for both programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Superior teaching, research, and/or professional credentials required in the field of interactive, design, web, or marketing. Masters degree or equivalent professional accomplishments preferred.
Evidence of quality teaching, training, and/or consulting with instructors or other professional required.
Demonstrated research and/or project management skills are required.
Demonstrated evidence of successful, professional work experience with an online instructional program desired.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of interactive design; familiarity with the field of graphic design; experience working as a designer preferred.
Demonstrated teaching, training, and/or coaching skills.
Knowledge and experience in instructional design, teaching and/or training needed to support an online educational program.
Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Create and implement a vision for growth, guidance, and advocacy for program.
Skilled and experienced in social marketing and promotions.
Skilled and committed to current and emerging trends in interactive, web, and graphic design.
