Position: Sales Development Executive
Downtown Minneapolis based advertising/interactive agency is looking for a key player to add to our Sales and Account Management team. The agency does a wide range of high-profile marketing/advertising and website design for high profile clients. The individual must be very driven, extremely competitive, and highly dedicated to achieving excellence, yet possess the rare form of charisma and approachability that engenders trust and draws people to them. This individual must also have a strong strategic/creative mindset to understand a prospect’s business and how the agency can help them.
Salary, commission, and incentives based on experience and ability to create new opportunities for agency’s growth.
Responsibilities
• Prospecting emails & sales database management
• Assist in sales strategy/pitch development
• Assist in written proposal preparation
• Assist in presentation preparation
• Assist account team in managing/growing client business
• Market research & client needs analysis
• Proofreading proposals and other delivery items
• Whatever it takes for the agency and the individual to be highly successful
Requirements
• Desired
o Charismatic, polished, outgoing and approachable
o Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, email, formal writing)
o Excellent presentation skills
o Ability to think on your feet and learn quickly
o Strategic, creative thinker to assist in formulating new ideas and client solutions
o Ability to take initiative and work independently
o Committed to excellence, regardless of the task
o Strong desire/drive to do what it takes to be very successful
o Frequent internet/technology user, web savvy
o Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Preferred (all of the above, plus)
o 1-2 years of experience in account service, marketing communications, public relations, product management or sales support/development
o 1-2 years of experience within an advertising/interactive agency environment
• Required
o Bachelor’s degree
