Sales & Marketing Support Manager for Emerging Software Company Andcor  

A fast growing Minnesota software company is looking for an energetic Sales and Marketing Support Manager who understands the dynamic environment of a growing company. This person will collaborate with the CEO and Director of Strategic Market Development to successfully grow revenue and develop the overall brand.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Sales Process Support

• Support the CEO, Director of Strategic Market Development, and growing sales function through a sophisticated and complex sales process for direct and channel efforts.

• Sales channel support – which in summary includes working with existing (e.g. 3M) and new alliance relationships to support their sale of the solution to their current and prospective customers.

• Support the sales function through internal and external support and may include direct contact with the channel partners and customers.

• Through growth in this position, he/she will become comfortable with using, understanding, and demonstrating software.

• Involvement and management of the sales process from when a prospect is seriously engaged through to accepted proposal.

• Focus on developing channel for business and work with current accounts for continued growth.

• Assist in the development of sales proposals and presentations.

• Establish and maintain required sales data needed to effectively manage new and existing business.

 

Marketing Communications

• Support the CEO, Director of Strategic Market Development, and growing sales function through a combination of marketing, PR, and customer support projects.

• Research and tailor communications for vertical markets; he/she will be highly involved with the sales function and working through strategy.

• Coordinate and launch sales/marketing campaigns. Ability to keep a pulse on the industry is vital.

• Develop product/sales/marketing materials consistent with branding (product positioning) strategy. Promotional pieces include brochures, direct mail pieces, and channel partner kits.

• Write press releases and create a buzz.

• Maintain keen awareness of competitor products, pricing and growth strategies.

• Prepare, coordinate and summarize research and reports.

• Website maintenance and lead internet marketing efforts.

 

Internal Resource Coordination

• Maintain communications with clients regarding project implementation and gather feedback for improving products and processes.

• Maintain lead qualification processes and monitor the status of the sales pipeline on a continual basis through Company processes. Offer timely, solicited and unsolicited support and essential sales/market information to the appropriate team members to support the growth and development of the business.

 

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of professional experience in a sales support role within a high tech environment.

• Supply chain, security, brand protection and/or related industry experience is desired.

• Ability to wisely and independently manage time to ensure project completion.

• Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.

• Proven experience in a fast-paced or small company environment.

• Self-motivated and constantly looking for ways to improve both product and process.
