Organization Summary:
CaringBridgeis a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization offering free personalized websites to those wishing to stay in touch with family and friends during significant life events. Our mission is to bring together a global community of care powered by the love of family and friends in an easy, accessible and private way.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Researches, creates, tests implements and manages campaigns with Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Face book and others.
2. Provides recommendations, and best practices for emerging online marketing opportunities and tactics that assist in achieving CaringBridge’s organizational goals.
3. Analyzes and reports on campaign data and adjusts accordingly using tracking and analytics to deliver maximum return on ad spend.
4. Identifies, documents and coordinates opportunities which will improve website optimization (SEO).
5. Stays current with all search industry developments and best practices including testing and optimization strategies.
6. Coordinates the execution of Web site content to meet growth and awareness objectives.
7. Executes online presence of CaringBridge to grow our base of grassroots support on social networks and with relevant bloggers.
8. Assists in writing and editing copy for a variety of e-communications including website, e-newsletters and e-mail.
9. Maintains a deep understanding of online advertising metrics.
10. Follows trends and reports on SEO, SEM and social media optimization.
11. Maintains brand consistency (message and visual) across channels of communication.
12. Establishes and sustains relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization.
13. Keeps manager informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
14. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, mass communications or related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications or position of similar responsibilities.
· 3+ years in interactive marketing preferred.
· 2 years of SEM experience.
· Strong self-starter with a record of success.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.
· Excellent organizational and planning skills.
· Excellent understanding of the diverse needs of internet users.
· Ability to cope with the rapid pace and constant change associated with the industry.
· Ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously.
· Thorough knowledge of CSS, Html, XHtml, PHP, SEO and web standards, Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator. Experience with Microsoft Office.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
