JOB DESCRIPTION:
La Macchia Enterprises (LME) is growing and looking for an experienced and talented Social Media Engagement Manager.
The enterprise includes The Mark Travel Corporation, Trisept Solutions, Funjet Vacations and multiple strategic business units. Traterra is one of our brands.
Join a team of 1,200 employees, headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, with office locations in London, Las Vegas and Orlando. With revenue over $1 billion annually we are looking to hire only the most exceptional Social Media Engagement Manager.
MAJOR PURPOSE:
Traterra is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for conversation and experience in all things social. This fun and creative individual will drive the strategy and execution of a comprehensive social media and engagement plan that support the business vision.
Traterra, a new start-up business for LME, is an innovative travel website designed by industry veterans for people who love to travel. Traterra offers a pleasant, personal and interactive vacation planning experience brought to life by our highly-knowledgeable Travel Experts and our groundbreaking, intuitive technology that learns users travel preferences. We change the way people travel and at the same time provide extraordinary traveler care and empower our travelers to travel the world their way.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, develop and implement an integrated social media strategy to support overall customer engagement, community growth, and sales objectives for Traterra in the social arena
• Engage with our customers to deliver the end-to-end vacation experience in all aspects of their vacation purchase – providing information to help make the best vacation decisions, engaging during the purchase and pre-travel, during travel and upon their return.
• Develop insights into actions and form relationships with media partners and communities to distribute those insights to
• Evaluate and manage online chatter to effectively reflect the Funjet brand and experiences with our customers to deliver the end-to-end vacation experience
• Serve as a community manager for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blogs and other social media channels to help increase the visibility and building engagement with key audiences
• Recommend and test innovative promotions and campaigns that drive superior results and set us apart from competitors.
• Develop and implement a strategy for building outside relationships for which the Funjet brand can distribute products and content to key peer group influencers, media and sites outside of the company
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging social media tools and share best practices across the team
• Must be willing and motivated to get things done efficiently and effectively and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• BA or above, MA and 4 years related experience
• Travel knowledge and experience not required but is a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Experience managing web and social media content is essential, as well as experience using multimedia as part of a larger web experience.
• The successful candidate will have a track record of engaging audiences using social media and an appetite for finding new and innovative ways to engage our audience. This individual will also develop new and build upon existing relationships to deliver sales, promotions and content to media outlets.
• Day-to-day tasks will vary from high-level strategic planning to detailed execution and optimization, and candidates must be comfortable with this broad range of responsibilities and activities. Above all, the Social Media Community Manager must be self-motivated and collaborative, with a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
LOCATION:
Ideally the Social Media Engagement Manager will be located in Milwaukee, WI (no relocation assistance available). However, for the right candidate we are willing to consider a remote work-at-home set-up.
