About This Opportunity
Join the Target.com interactive team, where your goal is to make the multi-channel shopping experience as simple, secure and enjoyable as a visit to your local Target store. You'll develop strategies that drive sales and innovation while creating a fast, fun experience that inspires guest loyalty.

The Sr User Experience Architect serves as the information architect on interactive projects. This role supports the project team, and internal and agency partners to translate project requirements and user research into the UX activities and deliverables (e.g., ethnographic research, wireframes, interaction design, persona development, card sorting exercises, prototypes, heuristic analysis, usability testing, etc.) that will be used by the project team in delivering the project.

  • Contribute to front-end interaction design primarily across the mobile channel with sound understanding of online, in-store digital marketing, social, etc.
  • Demonstrate clear project leadership skills and accountability
  • Develop, document, and evangelize user experience best practices and interaction patterns
  • Actively demonstrate broad creative, strategic, and thought leadership while developing a compelling multi-channel experience
  • Contribute to initiatives to develop innovative new guest experiences with internal and external partners.
  • Support prototyping exercises with internal and external partners to advocate and evangelize the multi-channel guest experience.
  • Research new technologies, trends and innovations that have the potential to impact the guest experience
  • Research new UX processes, tools and principles. Participate in the User Experience community and mentor other team members.

Requirements

  • Degree in Graphic Design, User Experience, and/or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years interactive work experience
  • Macintosh and PC hardware and software knowledge (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Omnigraffle, Flash, Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, Acrobat)
  • Understanding of HTML, JHTML, XML/XSLT, CSS, ActionScript and JavaScript (jQuery, YUI, non-framework, and JSON)
  • Experience establishing repeatable processes, frameworks, and UI standards
  • Ability to seamlessly alternate between dealing with highly technical teams and non-technical business teams
