Primary Objective(s)

The Custom Content Team Lead ensures high quality execution of web site marketing copy projects through robust leadership skills and effective team and cross-functional management. The Team Lead will work closely with a Manager of Content Operations to implement consistent standards for web site marketing content and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Assign, allocate, and reallocate resources to and among projects as necessary in order to maximize adherence to deliverable time frames and promote a high level of staff utilization and productivity
- Measure results of processes implemented within Content. Analyze and report key measurements to management on a regular basis
- Recommend and manage Content vendor relationships
- Provide recommendations to the Manager on quality standards, guidelines, volume, durations and processes to deliver content on time within designated project timelines
- Address escalated client issues and bring them to a positive resolution
- Career Management of Team
- Assist team members in formulating development plans and goals that motivate the employee, encourage better performance and support overall business strategy and objectives
- Motivate and manage team members to achieve high levels of performance
- Offer constructive input and coaching to team members on an ongoing basis in order to improve performance
- Identify and recommend training needs/opportunities for the team
- Work with a Manager of Content Operations to address staff problems and concerns
- Prepare performance reviews
- Partner with a Manager of Content Operations in the interviewing and selection of new team members

- Strategy
- Team Lead will work with a Manager of Content Operations to identify process improvement needs, recommend solutions and implement changes
- Work collaboratively with other Customer Operations Team Leads to quickly identify issues and resolve to the customer's satisfaction
- Support Product/Marketing in development of legal news related content offerings
- Conduct analysis, develop proposals and execute plans to innovate and improve on content strategy and delivery

- Bachelor Degree required, JD optional, Master's optional
- 3-5 years experience in writing or leading web content development, SEO/SEM, social media or a related field
- 1-2+ years people management or mentoring/coaching experience
- Broad knowledge of current events and legal news/issues
- Understanding of social media concepts and channels
- Basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) understanding
- Demonstrated leadership and employee development skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent ability to respond to deadline pressures and demonstrate organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Exceptionally detail oriented
- Ability to manage challenging client issues
- Works well in a team environment, embraces change and is highly adaptable
- Innovative
- Strong interpersonal skills
