Job Summary

The User Experience Designer will be responsible for creating designs for mobile applications and web sites, incorporating user-centric design principles. The user and their goals are always the first consideration when organizing an interface and creating a design. They will define and exploit consistent mental models upon which to base an intuitive design.  The User Experience Designer will be called upon to collaborate and to provide thought leadership around User Centered Design for the Innovation Team, for the company, and for our clients.

Essential Functions

·        Design professional, with experience utilizing User Centered Design research and organization methods

·        Collaborate with clients, information architects, and technologists to create intuitive designs and comprehensive solutions

·        Experience with adaptive design

·        Experience designing for mobile platforms

·        Experience with prototyping tools for the creation of high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate a solution

·        Define methods to measure the ongoing user experience and the overall success of a user interface

·        Work independently to a defined budget

·        Mentor and share experiences throughout the Innovation Team

Other Functions

·        Collaborate with others on the Innovation Team and the Account Services Team to determine project scope, direction, and the role of Design and User Experience in client proposals

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in client services

Education, Experience and Other Skills

·        4+ years experience developing interactive solutions as an Interaction Designer or User Experience Designer

·        A degree in a related field, such as technical communications, human-computer interaction, library science graphic design, or industrial design

·        Web design experience including: HTML, the capabilities of Web browsers across multiple platforms, and new technologies

·        Stay abreast of advances on the web (both technical and experiential) and look for ways to appropriately integrate these advances into new solutions

·        Experience with design and prototyping software

·        Experience observing user research and translating user research into design decisions

·        Terrific teamwork and collaboration skills
