We are seeking an experienced Variable Data Proofreader: 
 
Position Description:
This technical position will require high quality, high speed proofreading services of physical page content, HTML content, and data logic. The requirements include the ability to proofread variable content from print, PDF, matrix tables, or data files. Work with Account Managers and Programmers in reviewing and releasing approved files.
           
           
Position Responsibilities:
· Retrieve electronic documents and files from the network.
· Ability to read for context and correct grammar & punctuation.
· Ability to proofread all jobs within the work teams for image text position, variable content fields, logic, and type accuracy when compared to customer supplied documentation.
· Familiar with postal regulations and printing capabilities
· Ability to perform and / or help coordinate all finalization of job delivery activities within the work team.
· Ability to transmit files to other team members for additional proofing
· Keep accurate records through all the production steps.
· Interact with Account Mangers, Data Processing, and Print Programming (as needed).
· Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
 
Required Skills and Attributes:
· Understanding of layout and printing requirements.
· Ability to identify inconsistencies in any given document or variable page content.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Attention to details is a must.
· The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Ability to read and understand data reports, and work with the customer provided business rules and logic.
· Proficient in: Excel, ASCII files, Quark, Indesign, Microsoft Office, Adobe products; Acrobat.
 
Education and/or Experience:
3 – 5 + years of experience in variable content and data proofreading. Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
