Corporate Business Unit: Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land OLakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.
Position Purpose: The Web Analyst/Interactive Marketing Specialist provides expertise and guidance to internal customers across business areas to incorporate best practices in interactive marketing and drive continuous improvement across the company's interactive initiatives. This role is responsible for web performance measurement -- developing reports, interpreting the data, translating the data into actionable enhancement recommendations for interactive assets and initiatives. This person oversees the implementation of web performance tracking mechanisms on new and existing sites. The role also researches and evaluates potential new tools and resources that can enable achieving our business goals. Reports to the Interactive Manager as part of the corporate marketing services team.

This position will monitor, interpret, report interactive (websites, landing pages, portals, mobile apps, social media, etc.) performance metrics, making thoughtful recommendations for improvements and refinements, and spearheading their implementation. This position will also be responsible for the review, analysis and the fine tuning of search engine optimization and pay-per-click search engine marketing initiatives to optimize our web performance and interactive marketing spend. Some other key accountabilities include: keeping abreast of online best practices, and monitoring competitor and other industry sites and interactive capabilities. This position will also research and provide thoughtful "points of view" for interactive direction-setting on specific subjects, such as generic top-level domains, etc. In addition, this position will also research and evaluate potential new vendors for online capabilities that enhance user experience/engagement, cost-efficiencies and performance, along with assisting in the development of business cases/ROI analyses for interactive initiatives and investments.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or business; or 8+ years equivalent experience in lieu of degree. 5+ years' experience implementing, measuring and enhancing interactive marketing initiatives
Required Competencies & Other Skills: Key competencies and skills required include: In-depth knowledge of and experience with web analytics tools, including WebTrends and Google Analytics; experience implementing, evaluating and enhancing search engine marketing efforts; knowledge of best practices in search engine optimization related to site architecture, page structure, links and content creation; experience using content management tools and publishing online content; proven track record of making actionable recommendations resulting from data analysis; broad familiarity with current Internet and interactive marketing trends and technologies; demonstrate strong critical thinking and analysis skills with experience in pre/post interactive project analysis and application of learning to drive ongoing ROI; and excellent communication, influencing & interpersonal skills with both internal & external audiences.

Additional required competencies and skills include: Proven ability to collaborate and add value when working with both in-house IS resources, marketing services colleagues, business partners as well as outside agencies; demonstrated ability to prioritize, work independently and manage multiple tasks; Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel.
