Position Summary:

The Website Analyst and Content Manager is responsible the day to day oversight of, and participation in, the tactical execution of Web site marketing plans, content management initiatives, set up and execution of test plans, quality assurance as well as regular reporting and analysis of Web site metrics and KPIs.  Additionally, the Analyst is expected to participate and in many cases drive the project management of key web site updates, enhancements and functionality implementations.  The Analyst works within the Ecommerce department helping other stakeholders in the organization to achieve their goals as it relates to needs on the Web site.  The Analyst also works cross-functionally with Creative, Merchandising, IT, Credit and Legal.

 Required Skills

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Maintain working knowledge of Ecommerce Best Practices for online retail
  • Constantly stay abreast of industry developments in the areas of tools, functionality, usability, testing, social marketing and more.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities
  • Proven track record of managing to KPIs

 

 Project Management

  • Maintain Web Site quarterly content and promotional calendar
  • Act as Ecommerce point person for Creative routing, approvals and revisions as it relates to Web Site content
  • Drive teams across disciplines (E.g., Merchandising, Creative) to maintain adherence to timelines to ensure deadlines for site content are met resulting in Web Site being 100% up to date at all times
  • Assist in defining business requirements for ad hoc projects
  • Periodically lead project implementations for the business

 

Content & Experience Management

  • Use ecommerce platform’s content management system to load digital assets (e.g., creative) for display on Web site
    • Mercado/Omniture Merchandising; Test & Target
  • Set up and administer web site Promotions
  • Set up and administer segmentation driven web site Experiences, maintain working calendar of Experiences by customer segment
  • Manage updating Home Page and Category Pages according to promotional plan and refresh calendars by Web Site Coordinator
  • Manage and/or assist in image mapping of creative assets to click through to appropriate landing pages/products; execute QA process to ensure flawless execution
  • Tracking, analysis and optimization based on performance of each campaign
  • Creative routing across multi-functional team

 

Testing & Test Plans

  • Participate in functional testing of site updates, modifications
  • Work with Ecommerce department to execute structural and design oriented test plans to optimize the Web site experience
  • Proactively track and report on performance
  • Recommend optimizations based on performance
  • Employ rigorous QA procedures to ensure flawless execution
  • Recommend future test initiatives based on site and test analysis

 

Reporting & Analysis

  • Use third party systems to generate informed business intelligence reporting used by management to drive business decisions
  • Set up and monitor reports for key Web site process flows, business KPIs
  • Proactively identify areas of the Web Site where opportunity for improvement exists; participate in planning and execution to exploit opportunity

 Required Experience

  • 4-year degree
  • 2-4 years experience in Web Site Operations role
  • Knowledge of Internet retailing a plus
  • Comfortable in a deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities and a high volume of projects
  • A team player with strong initiative, work ethic, ability to work independently and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Direct marketing experience helpful, online direct marketing experience a plus
  • Internet savvy
  • Creative, energetic, passionate and flexible
